Central Operations Specialist

Seacoast Commerce Bank is a Community Bank headquartered in San Diego, California. We have offices located throughout the United States. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to become the newest member of the Seacoast team!

We are seeking a Central Operations Specialist to provide back office operational support for all bank branches. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the highest standard of customer service is provided to all customers and work with branch staff to resolve any issues or account problems.
  • Perform routine duties related to adjustments, cashier checks, levies, chargebacks, interest checks, cash orders and shipments, remote deposit capture, legal process handling, non-posted items, NSF and returned items, foreign items and verification of deposits.
  • Audit new accounts and verify information is correct, meets regulatory guidelines and is in alignment with bank policies and procedures. Review new account processes for best practices on a recurring basis.
  • Verify new account documents are completed correctly. Continually review document archival process for best practices.
  • Maintain and utilize current knowledge on all regulations pertaining to the Central Operations Department including FDIC insurance, account vesting, EFT limits, Reg CC, Rag D, Red E, BSA/Patriot Act, Privacy, UCC4A, NACHA and dormant accounts.
  • Provide Online Banking, ACH and debit card telephone support to internal and external customers.
  • Support wire transfer operations.
  • Process Fedline activity to include wires, ACH transactions (returns and NOCís), Cash deposits and ordered, check adjustments, and collection items.
  • ATM settlement and transaction reconcilement. Process Reg E claims, monitor and report suspicious card activity.
  • Perform all Reg D monitoring for excessive activity, including customer notification
  • Establish new PC banking clients on the Net Teller system and provide customer support.
  • Understand procedures to be followed in the case of robbery or other emergency.
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of and adherence to Bank operational policies and applicable compliance regulations as they relate to the specific job duties assigned.
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of your duties and responsibilities as it relates to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC). This includes participating in any required training and promptly complying with all reporting requirements.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant bank operations and new accounts experience.
  • Must be proficient in the use of FedLine Advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks while working in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software.
